ESICIA LTD has announced that it has achieved payment card industry data security standard (PCI DSS) compliance certification, the most thorough and stringent global security standards in the payment card industry, for its KPAY platform.Â
This certification is for merchants using Internet-connected payment application systems.
It's the first Fintech firm in Rwanda to receive the certification.
It is one of the most rigorous classifications, even stronger than the classification for merchants with e-commerce payment systems.
It includes over 150 security requirements, covering configuration and operations of the physical space, networks, data, operating systems, applications, anti-virus, logging, monitoring, auditing, credentials, and management of incidents, changes and patches.
Additionally it includes robust security awareness training and regular vulnerability scanning.
ESICIA LTD CEO, Innocent KANEZA told Taarifa that with the evolution of technology, systems have become more vulnerable to external security threats.
Hence protecting sensitive information becomes crucial to business growth and ensuring customer trust. Â
