Cholesterol igizwe n'ibinure, ikaba ijya kumera nk'ibinyagu by'ubuki, ndetse ikaba ari ikinyabutabire cy'ingenzi mu bigize uturemangingo, ndetse gituma tumera uko tumeze kandi tugahorana amatembabuzi. Ikorwa n'uturemangingo tw'inyamabere zose (aha niho umuntu abarizwa).

HDL cg se lipoproteins zifite uburemere buri hejuru (High Density Lipoproteins) zitwa cholesterol nziza. Impamvu ni uko zifasha mu kuvana cholesterol mu bice bitandukanye by'umubiri ziyijyana mu mwijima, aho ukora akazi ko kuzisohora mu mubiri.

Cholesterol nyinshi mu maraso ishobora gutera ibihe bibazo?
