Over 250 speakers are lined up for the forthcoming Dubai International Conference on Science and Technology Research, scheduled for 23-24 February 2021.
This would be the 7th edition of the rapidly growing prestigious gathering of network of over 15000 professionals according to organisers- Scientific & Technical Research Association (STRA).
STRA the organizing agency is an international community of researchers, practitioners, students and educationists for the development and spread of ideas in the field of science and technology.
If all goes according to plan despite the Covid-19 pandemic influence, this 7th edition will be hosted at the Landmark Hotel Riqqa, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Rwanda is a regular participant in this conference and is yet to confirm whether there will be representation.
The ambitious east African nation, Rwanda is looking for more investments to boost the ICT sector in order to drive innovation and entrepreneurship in the country and has made considerable improvements to exploit the potential of ICTs to drive social and economic transformation and catch up with more advanced nations.
According to Rwanda Development Board, Information and Communication Technology is a central engine to driving Rwanda's transformation to a knowledge based economy, a fact Rwanda has acknowledged by allocating a budget to ICT â€" as a percentage of its GDP â€" that is at par with OECD countries.
