AOS Launches Robust Discounted Packages For Web, Email And Cloud Hosting #rwanda #RwOT

This Rwanda company, AOS, is disrupting the Rwandan tech environment with it's new top notch web, email and cloud hosting services among other innovations. 

The firm has launched a robust package of services with intent to provide services that have predominately been imported. 

AOS announced discounts of up to 77% on web and mail hosting with automated provisioning, various packages, ease of online payments, wide range of add-on services from their online market portal.

And that's not all. The company is offering up to 50% discount on cloud hosting. You can get 50% off on cloud welcome package with easy service upgrade, flexible packages, security, data backup locally hosted with 24/7 online support.

Taarifa spoke to AOS executives. Below are excerpts.

Data center services worldwide are some of the most sophisticated services that require huge investment and highly skilled personnel. Give us a picture of AOS in Rwanda in the view. 

AOS Ltd is a Rwandan based ICT service provider and operator of the National Data Center offering various hosting services to both the public and private sector, jointly set up by the Government of Rwanda and Korea Telecom (KT) in 2014 based on the agreement to collectively achieve bigger goals. 

AOS is committed to providing the best data center facility in Rwanda and the region and we have been investing in our infrastructure to provide reliable and secure services to our customers. Our specialized technical and experienced sales Teams are committed to that goal and are continuously training to get better at their jobs.' Said the Chief Executive Officer of AOS, Mr. Seong Woo Kim.

What products does AOS offer that make the company a competitive option in the market? 

We offer various hosting services in our Data center such as cloud computing, web and email hosting, server colocation, Backup as a service and a disaster recovery facility. Our Data is locally hosted in Rwanda which is an added value when it comes to accessibility and security especially sensitive data for Rwandans and we offer 24/7 online support with the choice of using our home language. 

We also provide solution development; we developed and deployed the electronic procurement system of Rwanda 'Umucyo'. We provide systems integration providing security surveillance system (CCTV) and IT consulting to both public and private institutions.' Said the Chief Marketing Officer of AOS, Mr. Manzi Rwakah

There is a gap in market knowledge/awareness of data center services. How do you deal with that kind of challenge in the market?

We are investing more in advertising and campaigns about Data center services in different media platforms and we are getting feedback from the public.

We are also organizing and participating in ICT oriented forums/events by supporting and working closely with our partners in implementing different initatives to increase awareness and adoption of various local hosting services. 

We provide hosting services that are easy to use offering automated provisioning and ease of online payments for some hosting services.

We are also providing more affordable and secure services to the public to encourage them to go online with their businesses and attract more companies to host locally. 

We also collaborate with educational entities to create awareness in students who visit our facility. We are planning to offer hosting space in our infrastructure to help students understand and be more familiar with our services and enhance the adoption of ICT. 

We also plan to have an ICT academy to teach various IT skills to Rwandans.' Said the Chief Marketing Officer of AOS, Mr. Manzi Rwaka.

Rwanda is positioning itself to be an IT hub in the region, what role would/is AOS play/playing? 

'We are contributing to make Rwanda an ICT hub in the region by providing reliable secure and more affordable Data Center services not only to local customers but also with a goal to attract regional customers to AOS.

We have early adoption of new and cutting edge technologies not easily accessible with others in the region. 

We also plan to export successful Rwandan solutions to other countries. AOS has deployed various solutions in Rwanda which include the electronic procurement system (e-Procurement) of Rwanda called 'Umucyo' in collaboration with Minecofin and RPPA which has increased accountability, transparency, and efficiency in the public procurement process. The system has attracted interest from various African countries that would like to have a similar system in their countries. 

We are also implementing the Government smart administration system in collaboration with RISA to improve collaboration system and ensure paperless communication between Government institutions and private customers.' Said Chief Executive Officer of AOS, Mr. Seong Woo Kim. 

What is the future of AOS in Rwanda and beyond its borders? 

We are working and planning to develop and deploy more solutions to improve work efficiency and service delivey in Rwanda while building the knowledge and skills of our local engineers. We also plan to have an ICT academy to teach various IT skills to Rwandans. 

We will also continue to invest in our Data center infrastructure, add new products and services and provide reliable, secure and affordable services to local, regional and internation customers. 

We will also export those successful solutions to other African countries as Made in Rwanda products, therefore, boost the economy and turn Rwanda into an ICT hub, the CEO said.

You have begun rolling out a campaign…tell us more about it.

The campaign serves the purpose of creating more awareness of our company and our various offerings with the goal of encouraging companies to have an onine presense and attracting more businesses to host locally and bring back local content for those hosted outside of the country. 

We are dedicated in supporting and enabling effective and efficient business delivery by providing reliable, secure and affordable services therefore we are giving discounts of up to 77% on web and mail hosting with the lowest option being 12,150 RWF per year (1,013 RWF monthly) and up to 50% on our Cloud hosting services with the lowest option being 26,275 RWF per month which shall facilitate business continuity and productivity in the private sector. 

We also wanted inform the public that we have moved to a new location which is Kigali Business Center (KBC) Building, 3rd floor Block D, Manzi Rwaka concluded.
