Youthful Presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu travelled to Eastern Uganda to canvass for votes but along the way he encountered a situation between hard rock and stone.

'We're still held at a roadblock by the military and police. Although we have a radio show scheduled for 7:00pm in Moroto town, they are blocking us from accessing it. They've spent the whole day beating up our people, now won't allow us speak on radio,' Kyagulanyi tweeted amidst an army of security personnel.

Meanwhile, Incumbent President Yoweri Museveni who has been in power for almost 35years is seeking re-election and is currently begging for votes from west Nile region of Uganda while his arch rival in this election Kyagulanyi is in the Eastern region.

According to assessments on ground on both campaign trails, the two candidates are pulling somewhat similar size of crowds.

'When I do not stop to greet or engage with our supporters, it is not that I am a bad person. When you stop, the people will keep gathering and this is totally against our primary goal in the fight against COVID-19,' Museveni said upon arrival in Arua town famously known as birth place of Uganda's ex-military dictator Idi Amin.

'I am sorry for not getting out to greet you, but I insist we should keep away from gathering for the safety of each one of us. Stay Safe first, we shall not be able to Secure Your Future when you are dead,' Museveni said as he drove away from supporters lined up along the streets.
